USA Today’s report added that Espada was “given the choice of staying with the team through the duration of the season or departing now.” But Espada has had no conversations about his future, according to the two team sources.Espada, who missed Sunday’s game while tending to a family emergency, is in New York with the club and will manage Tuesday’s series opener against the Yankees.Like Brown was, Espada is working this season on the final year of his contract.
