Police have released pictures of two men they want to speak to after a teenage girl was allegedly sexually assaulted on Brighton beach. The incident is understood to have occurred near West Street, close to the famous pier and Royal Pavilion, on June 23. The girl was sexually touched over her clothing in the water, Sussex Police has said. The men allegedly approached the victim and her friend and sat with them on Brighton beach shortly before the incident. Sussex Police said officers are now appealing for anyone with information to call 101, quoting reference 1694 of 23/06. A spokesman for the force said: 'Police are investigating a report that a teenage girl was sexually touched over clothing on Brighton beach, in an area near to the bottom of West Street.'The incident was reported to have happened in the late afternoon/early evening on 23 June. Sussex Police want to speak with the two men pictured in connection with the alleged sexual assault against a teenage girl on Brighton beach on June 23'The men were alleged to have approached the victim and her friend a short time earlier and sat with them on the beach before the offence took place in the water.'Officers would now like to speak with the two men in the images in connection with further enquiries.'If you recognise them, or have any information to report, contact police online, or by calling 101 quoting reference 1694 of 23/06.'
