The YouTube video platform has blocked three channels of the Russian animated series “Masha and the Bear” in Ukraine: the Russian-, Ukrainian-, and English-language channels.

The Center for Countering Disinformation under Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

All three channels are listed in the NSDC sanctions decision enacted by a decree of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Their blocking restricts Ukrainian children’s access to this content and deprives Russia of another platform for generating revenue and exerting hybrid influence.
