Eli Lilly $LLY launched its oral weight-loss pill Foundayo in the United Kingdom on Monday, making Britain the first country in Europe to offer the treatment to patients.

The once-daily tablet, known chemically as orforglipron, can be obtained through private prescription for now; Lilly said it is engaging with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence as that body works through its evaluation of the drug's suitability for England's National Health Service. Foundayo will be priced between £100 and £120 per month — lower than Lilly's injectable Mounjaro, which costs £330 per month through private providers, according to RTÉ.
