Strikes on oil refineries and logistics warehouses in Russia increase the percentage of Russians who want the war to end.
Finnish President Alexander Stubb said this at a press conference following the Coalition of the Willing summit in Kyiv, in response to a question about his view of Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries and online retail networks, according to Ukrinform.
Stubb said that to win the war, Ukraine’s partners need to provide support to increase its capacity to strike deep inside the territory of the aggressor state using both missiles and drones.
“The reason for this is very simple. It increases the cost and price of the war for Russia. And we see this in the sense that now 65% of the Russian population wants to end this war, and strikes on logistics centers, such as Wildberries, add another 10%. So, if your question is whether I think this is a smart military strategy on the part of Ukraine, my answer is: yes, absolutely,” Stubb emphasized.
He added that this is the only way to force Russia to sit down at the negotiating table for peace talks.
