EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas has proposed adopting additional European sanctions against Russia as early as this Fall.

Ukrinform reported this, citing Kaja Kallas’ post on X.

“Today, I joined the Coalition of the Willing to discuss strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, support for the winter period, and further pressure on Moscow,” Kallas wrote.

She noted that under the Ukraine Support Loan for 2026–2027, the EU has already allocated €8.47 billion in defense assistance and announced preparations for additional funding to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.

Kallas also emphasized that she is proposing the adoption of “tougher sanctions” against Russia as early as this Fall.
