File: Former Gombe State Governor and Senator representing Gombe Central, Danjuma Goje
A former Governor and Senator representing Gombe Central, Danjuma Goje, has dismissed speculation that he is planning to defect from the All Progressives Congress.
Goje made the rebuttal after hundreds of his supporters from Gombe Central and neighbouring communities visited his residence, seeking clarification on his political future ahead of the 2027 general elections.
His Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Ahmed Kashere, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday.
Addressing the supporters, Goje, a founding member of the APC, reaffirmed his membership of the party and urged his supporters to remain loyal to the party.
