Aug. 24 (UPI) -- UPS announced on Monday an ongoing investment of $2 billion in international, healthcare and supply chain businesses to assist with global flexibility.
Projects that UPS is currently working on include a new hub at the Clark Airport in the Philippines, a new facility in Barrie, Ontario, Canada and a new air hub at Hong Kong International Airport.
"Customers need end-to-end logistics that match their requirements for visibility, speed and ease," Kate Gutman, UPS executive vice president and president international, healthcare and supply chain solutions, said in a statement. "These investments allow us to bring air, ground, brokerage and distribution together in one solution, with fewer handoffs, more end-to-end control and less complexity."
The hub at Clark Airport is set to open later this year and the hub in Hong Kong is expected to open in 2028. The new facility in Canada is scheduled to open next year.
