Altria Group, Inc. (NYSE:MO) stock rose on Monday after the company announced a contract manufacturing arrangement between Philip Morris USA Inc. and non-U.S. affiliates of Philip Morris International Inc. (NYSE:PM).

The agreement aims to improve operating efficiency across Philip Morris USA’s traditional tobacco business while supporting Altria’s broader strategic goals.

Altria, Philip Morris Target Manufacturing Efficiency

Under the agreement, Philip Morris USA and PMI affiliates will use their respective capabilities and expertise in combustible cigarette manufacturing.

The companies expect initial shipments under the arrangement to begin in early 2027, subject to operational readiness and applicable regulatory requirements.
