Two East African countries, Uganda and Burundi, over the weekend, sent representatives to Israel to relay their intentions on participating in the conflict currently dividing the people of Palestine and Israel.
The delegation from both African countries asserted that they are ready to dispatch their respective troops to Gaza to join a new military unit being assembled.
They noted that the troops would form part of the international security force recommended by U.S. President Donald Trump´s Board of Peace for a ceasefire.
This information, disclosed to The Associated Press (AP) by a source from the board of peace, further indicates that the delegations from both East African nations are finalizing the operational details of their deployment following parliamentary approval of the troop contributions earlier this month.
"We shared significant knowledge with one another, and the Burundi representatives expressed interest in our mission," the official who asked to remain anonymous stated.
