RUSA paramedics helping the elderly woman who escaped an attacker in Ottawa.
A 69-year-old woman recovering from a life-threatening illness was forced to flee her home and jump over a patio wall after an alleged attacker gained entry to her property in Ottawa on Monday morning.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) said its officers, paramedics and a drone pilot were dispatched to Riverview Road following reports of the incident.
Prem Balram, head of Rusa, said the woman was inside her home when the suspect allegedly forced open her gate and entered the property.
“The victim claimed the suspect forced open the house gate while she was inside. He then gained entry and removed her Huawei mobile phone,” Balram said.
