The Chairman of Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State, Hashimu Dantudu, has said the security situation in the area is improving significantly following the deployment of armoured vehicles procured by the state government.

Dantudu stated this on Sunday in Tsamaye Village, Sabon Birni LGA, when a state government delegation led by the State APC Leader, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, visited the community to condole with residents over the death of the local government APC Chairman, Alhaji Amadu Malale.

The council chairman said the deployment of the armoured vehicles had contributed significantly to reducing attacks and increasing the presence of security personnel in the area.

“Cases of attacks have reduced tremendously since the deployment of the armoured vehicles in the area,” Dantudu said.

He commended Governor Ahmed Aliyu for procuring and deploying the vehicles, describing the initiative as a major boost to ongoing efforts to combat banditry across the state.
