Citing national demand for raw rice over boiled varieties, Telangana Civil Supplies Department officials were directed to prioritize processing the former. They were instructed to hold meetings with rice millers to clear pending raw rice deliveries immediately and not entertain excuses from them over delivery delays.The directions were issued by the State Civil Supplies Commissioner M. Stephen Raveendra to District Civil Supply Officers (DCSOs) and District Managers during a video conference held on Monday (August 24). The administration asked the officials to ensure the State operations must rigorously mirror the Food Corporation of India’s (FCI) requirements.The review meeting was attended by Anuj Tyagi, General Manager of FCI Telangana and Shyam Prasad Lal, Director of Civil Supplies.
