Unemployed youth in Chittoor and Annamayya districts will gain access to employment opportunities this week, with the mega job melas scheduled in Chittoor on August 26 and 27, and B. Kothakota on August 29.In Chittoor, the district skill development wing will conduct the mela at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Technology (SVCET) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 20 companies, including Schneider Electric, Premier Energies, Isuzu, Foxconn, Flipkart, Apollo Tyres, Tata Electronics, TeamLease and Kia, are expected to participate in recruiting over 500 candidates.In Annamayya district, the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation will organise a job mela at Aditya Degree College in B. Kothakota on August 29, offering around 700 vacancies. About 12 companies, including Amara Raja, Muthoot Finance, Tata AIA Life Insurance and Apollo Pharmacy, are expected to recruit candidates.Job openings range from relationship managers and business development executives to machine operators, production staff, pharmacists and trainees. Candidates with qualifications from Class X and ITI to diploma, degree, B. Tech, MBA and B. Pharm can attend. Salaries in the Annamayya job mela range from ₹12,000 to ₹35,000 a month.Collectors Sumit Kumar (Chittoor) and Nishanth Kumar (Annamayya) urged eligible youth to bring their certificates and resumes while attending the mela and to make full use of the recruitment drives.
