Amy Raskin, chief investment officer at Chevy Chase Trust, named Cognex Corporation (NASDAQ:CGNX) as her final trade.

Lending support to her choice, Cognex, on Aug. 5, reported better-than-expected second-quarter earnings and issued strong third-quarter guidance.

Cognex reported quarterly earnings of 45 cents per share, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 42 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $291.263 million, which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $292.545 million.
