Banks also observe holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.Despite branch closures, services such as ATMs and net banking for cash withdrawals and digital transactions will remain operational.When and where will banks remain closed?August 25: Bank branches in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed on the occasion of First Onam, Milad-un-Nabi and Milad-e-Sharif.August 26: Banks in Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Raipur, Nagpur and Bengaluru will remain closed on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad or Barawafat.August 28: Raksha Bandhan falls on Friday this year. Banks in Kanpur, Bhopal, Jaipur and Ahmedabad will remain closed on the occasion. Kochi will also remain closed due to other regional festivals.August 30: Banks across the country will remain closed as it is Sunday.Banks will remain open despite it being a Saturday, as August 29 is the fifth Saturday of the month. Under RBI rules, banks observe holidays only on the second and fourth Saturdays.Customers should check the holiday list of their local bank branch before visiting to avoid any inconvenience.
