Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the federal state-owned enterprise Kombinat Kamensky in Russia’s Rostov region overnight on August 24. The facility produces solid rocket propellant for ammunition used by Uragan, Smerch and Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Overnight on August 24, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the federal state-owned enterprise Kombinat Kamensky in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov region, Russian Federation. A fire was recorded at the facility,” the statement said.
Kombinat Kamensky is part of Russia’s military-industrial complex and produces solid rocket propellant for ammunition used by Uragan, Smerch and Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers, as well as for a number of missile systems and air-launched weapons.
The extent of the damage is being assessed, the General Staff said, adding that operations against key enemy targets are continuing.
