BJP National Executive Member and MLC Somu Veerraju on Monday (August 24, 2026) stated that the onus of exposing the conspiracy of ‘Love Jihad‘ now lies on the shoulders of the police department in Andhra Pradesh. This is in the wake of the alleged ‘Love Jihad’ case in the Kakinada city. He insisted on a detailed probe into the case by the central intelligence agencies. On August 17, the Sarpavaram police in Kakinada district registered a case against 26-year-old Sk. Sadhik Khan under the charges of ‘deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs’, in connection with the suicide pact (August 16) by Assistant Engineer K. Nooka Raju’s family. The police also booked booked cases under various section of BNSS, including abetment to suicide.The suicide notes purportedly separately left behind by Nooka Raju and his daughter Sowjanya, provided links to the conspiracy of Love Jihad.Nooka Raju ended his life along with wife, daughter and 10-year-old grandson at Rajamahendravaram. . The boy survived while the rest died.On August 22, Mr. Sadhik Khan, a Kakinada-based rifle shooter trainer, was caught in Meerut in Uttar Pradesh while he was reportedly preparing to leave the country via sea route as per the preliminary investigation. Speaking to reporters at a press conference here on Monday, Mr. Somu Veerraju stated, “It is unfortunate to witness the registration of the first Love Jihad case in the Godavari region. The accused, Mr. Sadhik Khan, had insisted Nooka Raju’s family to embrace his religion.”Delhi linksHe alleged that the accused had even poisoned Soujanya’s husband to death. Some individuals even allegedly provided Mr. Sadhik Khan shelter in Delhi. The idea of religious conversion is not solely an individual’s idea and a gang is involved in it.
