Freedom, who was wearing a t-shirt stating "WOMAN noun. adult human female", stepped onto the court before security and players intervened. The incident occurred late in the third quarter after Cloud approached Freedom while shouting and pointing at him. Chicago Sky head coach Tyler Marsh backed Cloud after the match, suggesting fans should attend games to enjoy the basketball. The Indiana Fever ultimately defeated the Chicago Sky 113-90 in a match that otherwise passed without major incident.
