Pension contributors rise by 11,183,475 in Q1’26, representing 12% of labour force

The National Pension Commission, PenCom, has said cumulative Retirement Savings Account, RSA registrations under the Contributory Pension Scheme, CPS, rose by 11,183,475 in the first quarter of 2026 (Q1’26) to 11,183,475, from 11,040,227 recorded in Q4’25.

PenCom, in its first-quarter 2026 report, said active membership now corresponds to approximately 12.1 per cent of Nigeria’s estimated 92 million-strong labour force.
