In our How I Manage My Money series, we aim to find out how people in the UK are spending, saving and investing money to meet their costs and achieve their goals.

This week we speak to Gordon Ferguson, 48, who lives in Kent. Gordon is a senior NHS nurse and earns £85,000 a year. He adds £750 a month to his NHS pension and wants to retire by the age of 60, but a divorce in 2024 may mean he has to work for a few extra years.
