The 31-year-old remained down for several minutes while being evaluated by Gotham’s medical team, with assistance from Angel City’s medical staff, before she walked off the field on her own.The club said Lavelle is being evaluated for a head injury but did not share any further details.“It’s not ideal when players go down early in the game, and obviously, Rose is a key part of our team,” interim coach Shaun Harris told reporters, answering about the reshuffling after Lavelle left the game. “At the same time, everyone knows the roles and responsibility of each position, and we have players be able to step in and fill that role. Obviously, it’s not ideal, but at the same time, we have people to fill in and move certain stuff around, and I thought we coped with it quite well.”
