Forest and land fires in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) area have finally been declared completely extinguished following a 13-day joint operation. The total affected area reached 1,121 hectares, with hot spots successfully controlled through ground sweeping and aerial water bombing using helicopters.TNBTS Agency head Rudijanta Tjahja confirmed on Wednesday that field evaluation results indicated the area was safe to welcome tourists.
