Three films produced by the experimental educational and creative workshop of students at the I. K. Karpenko-Karyi Kyiv National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television, founded by renowned Ukrainian film director Dmytro Tomashpolskyi, will take part in international film festivals.

The short film Be My Blue by Yevhen Shemet has been selected for the Wasteland Film Festival, which will take place in the United States. The Wasteland Film Festival is an annual international festival featuring short and feature-length films dedicated to post-apocalyptic themes, dystopias, and the survival of humanity.
Zakhаr Shestiaiev’s short film The Promise has reached the finals of the International Police Award Arts Festival. The annual international arts and film festival, held in Italy, focuses on law enforcement, law and order, as well as important social issues in cinema.
Another short film by Shestiaiev, Calypso, has also been selected for the Golden FEMI Film Festival, an annual international film festival held in Sofia, Bulgaria. The event is dedicated to social inclusion, raising environmental awareness, supporting vulnerable groups, and highlighting women’s achievements in cinema. The festival features feature, documentary, and short films from around the world.
