— Seek election of market executive after police shooting

ONITSHA: Aggrieved traders at the popular Ogbogwu Drug Market in Onitsha, Anambra State, have renewed calls for the removal of the market’s caretaker committee chairman, Mr Ndubuisi Chukwuleta, and the conduct of an election to usher in a democratically elected executive.
The demand followed last Wednesday’s shooting incident involving some traders and policemen at the Onitsha Bridgehead, where several persons were reportedly injured.
