And how will the Yankees cover the starting rotation in his absence?The Yankees had answers to exactly zero of those questions Sunday morning before facing the Toronto Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium, despite learning late Saturday that they could hold out hope Weathers will return.An MRI showed no structural damage to Weathers’ elbow or ulnar collateral ligament, and the flexor strain he suffered during an afternoon game Saturday was considered below a Grade 1, or very minor, the 26-year-old said. Still, the Yankees put him on the 15-day injured list and called up righty Brendan Beck to take his place on the roster.“Big picture, obviously, really good news,” manager Aaron Boone said. “Try and let this thing calm down and hopefully get him back in some capacity before the end.”Boone said the plan was for Weathers to not throw for two to four weeks. The manager added that the early prognosis was that there’s a “great chance” Weathers will pitch for the team in September and in the postseason.But the Yankees have a couple of things to figure out.
