Solomon reportedly collapsed while the meeting was ongoing at Iyara Town Hall, the headquarters of Ijumu Local Government Area, on Friday.
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Aliyu Ezzu, has confirmed the death of the party’s chairman in Ijumu Local Government Area, Oyewole Solomon, after he reportedly slumped during a reconciliation meeting in the area.
Solomon reportedly collapsed while the meeting was ongoing at Iyara Town Hall, the headquarters of Ijumu Local Government Area, on Friday.
His death was subsequently confirmed by Ezzu in a condolence message, in which he described the deceased as a committed member of the party whose contributions to the growth and unity of the APC in Ijumu would not be forgotten.
“His sudden death has sent shock and sadness across the APC family in Ijumu Local Government and Kogi State,” the statement issued on behalf of Ezzu read.
