The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heavy rain with sustained winds of up to 40 kmph on Monday and Tuesday at isolated places across Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada districts.The Ministry of Home Affairs’ Integrated Control Room for Emergency Response has advised fishermen against venturing into the sea, warning of squally winds reaching speeds of up to 55 kmph along and off the coasts of Karnataka, Kerala, and Lakshadweep in the Arabian Sea, as well as the west-central and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal, according to an official release.
