Public transport can be a lifeline for many people, including countless workers who rely on it to get to and from their jobs each day, families keen to enjoy a day out somewhere new, those visiting friends and relatives, and plenty more.‌But it can sometimes be a frustrating place to be - especially when fellow passengers behave in a rude or “entitled” manner. This was the recent experience of a tired worker who, on their way home from work, started “dozing” due to a headache.‌It wasn’t long before an “entitled” woman approached and woke the worker up. She said: “We are a family and we want to sit here, please move over there.” The mum pointed to a “seat facing backwards.”‌But the worker was baffled as it “was a near empty train”, meaning the mum and her family had plenty of options to choose from when it came to where they could sit. The worker told her: “No, I’m not moving as [I] was asleep and feel unwell - there’s plenty of seats.”But the mum insisted she wanted the worker’s “section as a family” - but the tired train passenger was undeterred and told her that unless she had “booked the carriage privately”, they refused to move. The mum then said: “Okay, it’s fine, you stay there.”After sharing the situation on Reddit, the worker concluded with an incredulous statement: “Like I need your permission”, adding a crying laughing face.‌How did people respond?In the comments section, fellow Reddit users were keen to share their thoughts, with many branding the mum “entitled”.
