Three FIRs have now been filed against 28 named and around 900 unnamed people in connection with clashes between police and job aspirants in Jharkhand, a PTI report said on Sunday, citing officials.The latest FIRs come a day after three cases were registered against 14 named and more than 200 unidentified people following a clash between police and protesters in Ranchi.The cases were filed in connection with protests by job aspirants against alleged irregularities in Jharkhand recruitment examinations. JPSC-JSSC Reforms Manch leaders Kunal Pratap Singh and Piyush Kumar were among those named in the earlier FIRs.The protesters had accused the state government of “deceiving” and “betraying” job aspirants following recent court orders staying notifications related to appointments through the 11th and 13th Jharkhand Public Service Commission examinations and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission’s Combined Graduate Level examination.The latest FIRs relate to clashes between police and students in Giridih and Hazaribag, according to the PTI report.The protests come amid an ongoing dispute over recruitment examinations and appointments in the state, with protesters demanding reforms and action from the government.
