What's the storyChinese e-commerce and cloud computing giant Alibaba has announced plans to raise HK$80 billion (around $10.2 billion) through a share placement.

The move, if successful, would be the largest primary follow-on offering by a Hong Kong-listed company and the third-largest globally this year after Alphabet and Intel's offerings.
