The local town council of Los Palacios y Villafranca in southern Spain has denied reports claiming that FC Barcelona footballer Pablo Páez Gavira, known as Gavi, is set to invest €1.3 million to build 150 flats for homeless or vulnerable people in his hometown.
The report was initially published by the newspaper "La Razón" and was subsequently picked up by other media outlets, including "Euronews." According to these reports, the midfielder was going to finance a complex with enough capacity to house around 300 people.
The Los Palacios y Villafranca town council has confirmed that this information is false and that no such project exists.
