Actress and filmmaker, Aesha Mikaelson, has said she wants her legacy in Nollywood to be defined by talent, purposeful storytelling and giving deserving people opportunities based on their abilities.
Speaking in an interview with Potpourri, Mikaelson said she is intentional about creating opportunities for talented people and building a body of work that goes beyond entertainment.
“I want my legacy to be remembered as a producer who doesn’t discriminate, who gives talented people opportunities based on their abilities, and who doesn’t just tell stories for the sake of entertainment. I want to tell stories that have purpose, provoke conversations, connect with people, and leave something meaningful. I want my stories and movies to be a reference point not just mere entertainment or vibes”.
Mikaelson said her commitment to quality filmmaking also influences how she approaches production, noting that she is willing to invest in getting the right people for each project.
