VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon — The local government unit (LGU) here suspended face-to-face classes in public and private schools at all levels on Monday, Aug. 23, due to security threats allegedly posted on social media by a teenager.
The teenager had been traced, located and is now in police custody.
Mayor Amie Galario issued Executive Order No. 093, Series of 2026 on Sunday, suspending in-person classes as a continued precautionary measure.
The social media threats reportedly warned of gun and grenade attacks targeting local schools.
