AEG Presents is the concert promoter behind the global live tour inspired by music from "KPop Demon Hunters."Formed in Seattle in 2000 by brothers Don and Ryan Clark, Demon Hunter is a Christian heavy metal band known for blending aggressive metalcore and alternative metal with melodic vocals and spiritual themes. The band registered the “Demon Hunter” trademark for live entertainment services in 2014 and filed applications in 2022 seeking trademark protection for recorded music and merchandise.The lawsuit comes as "KPop Demon Hunters" continues to expand its global footprint. The 2025 animated film is Netflix’s most-watched movie of all time, with 325 million views as of Sunday. It has also earned significant critical recognition, winning Academy Awards for best animated feature and best original song.The film’s success has extended to its global hit soundtrack. Demon Hunter has reportedly argued that the film’s music and related live performances have created consumer confusion over the connection between "KPop Demon Hunters" and the band.In May, Netflix announced plans for a global concert tour based on "KPop Demon Hunters," partnering with AEG Presents to bring the film’s music and characters to the live stage.Cities, dates and ticketing details have yet to be announced. Netflix said the two companies plan to bring the film’s world, music and stage elements to arenas around the world, creating a live experience inspired by "KPop Demon Hunters." The project was announced as the film approaches the first anniversary of its breakout success.
