Nigerian-Canadian gospel singer and songwriter, Princess Inyang, has marked 30 years of her recording career with a special live remix of her worship song, Akanam Nkwe.

Originally released in 1996, Akanam Nkwe has continued to resonate with worshippers, despite emerging at a time when digital streaming platforms and social media had yet to transform the global music industry.

To commemorate its 30th anniversary, Inyang, who wrote and composed the song, returned to the classic with a new live recording designed to preserve its original spiritual message while introducing fresh musical elements.

According to a statement shared with Sunday Scoop, one of the notable additions to the anniversary version is the use of the talking drum, with its message interpreted in Yoruba. The release also features the complete lyrics and meaning of the song, allowing a wider audience to connect with its message across linguistic and cultural boundaries.

Inyang said the song was intended to remind listeners that divine love remains constant regardless of human weaknesses or failures. Related News Before Stardom With… Busola Oke Eleyele (Musician) I want my music to transform lives – Evans Ighodalo Gospel artiste Esther Igbekele loses mother
