Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Jameis Winston thew for 150 yards and ran for a score to fuel a New York Giants preseason win over the Miami Dolphins on Saturday in Miami Gardens.

The Giants backup quarterback completed 15 of 21 passes in two quarters of action in the 26-3 triumph at Hard Rock Stadium. First-string quarterback Jaxson Dart was among the many starters rested between the Giants and Dolphins lineups.

Running back Cam Skattebo, wide receiver Malik Nabers and edge rushers Brian Burns, Abdul Carter and Kayvon Thibodeaux were among other notable Giants players rested for their second preseason game.

The Dolphins rested starting quarterback Malik Willis, running back De'Von Achane and four of their five starting offensive lineman. They also sat edge rushers Chop Robinson and Josh Uche, in addition to defensive tackle Zach Sieler and other defensive starters.
