The Buford Wolves and Gainesville Red Elephants open their Georgia high school football season with a nationally televised game. The Wolves host the Red Elephants at Philip Beard Stadium, and the game will be televised on ESPN2.The game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. ETBuford is not only the defending Georgia Class 6A champion, the Wolves are also the defending national champion. They went 15-0 and defeated Carrollton in the Georgia title game to earn the final nation's top ranking.Senior linebacker Brayden Watson, who is committed to Michigan, is the new leader for the Wolves. He is joined by junior defensive end Luke Nabors, who is not committed but holds offers from Auburn, Florida State and Miami (FL), among others.Gainesville was the Class 5A runner-up last season. It finished the season 12-3. The Red Elephants have senior quarterback and Clemson commit Kharim Hughley.
