Russian leader Vladimir Putin has described Ukraine's proposals for a peaceful settlement as "exotic" and unacceptable to Russia.

Source: Putin in an interview with Russian propagandist Pavel Zarubin, as reported by the state-run news agency RIA Novosti and the Telegram channel Vy slushali, which have posted video excerpts from the interview

Quote: "The Kyiv regime is attempting to prevent the situation from developing into a catastrophe. And it seems that is where the trends are heading.
