RIYADH: Ibrahim Bin Jibreen, CEO of Saudi esports club Twisted Minds, believes the Esports World Cup has become one of the most important tournaments globally, in particular providing emerging clubs from the Kingdom opportunities to diversify their revenue streams and attract more partners.

Talking to Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper, he called the competitions taking place in Paris “very strong and difficult,” noting that Twisted Minds had participated in nine game titles so far, earning 1900 points and currently placed seventh in the Club Championship standings.

“We have goals and plans that we seek to achieve, and the most important thing now is for us to focus on what remains of the journey in order to reach advanced positions, and we hope that Saudi’s Team Falcons will be successful in achieving the title, as they are competing strongly for it,” he said.

Bin Jibreen believes the growing value of the championship is not limited to its gaming competitions but extends to its commercial aspect, especially with the expansion of its fan base. He also said the Esports World Cup will help clubs obtain more sponsors.
