Anna Faris has opened up about the difficult conversations she has with her 14-year-old son, Jack — whom she shares with her ex, Chris Pratt — about religion.Jurassic World star Pratt, 47, is among the few Hollywood A-listers who have spoken openly about their Christian faith. He and Faris, 49, married in 2009 and welcomed Jack in 2012 before divorcing in 2017.“[Jack] is religious. I didn’t grow up with religion. Do you think that’s kind of a luxury?’’ And he’s like, ‘Maybe,’” she said.“Or I’ll say, ‘What do you think of this mega pastor that’s kind of a grifter?’ And he’s like, ‘Oh, mega pastors are the worst.’ So it’s like, ‘Okay, he’s getting there.’”Faris added that she’s “appreciative” that her son is “examining religion” by “recognizing hypocrisy,” and is grateful they can have “long conversations” about it together.The Independent has contacted Pratt’s representatives for comment.Jack was born nine weeks premature and suffered a severe cerebral hemorrhage — an experience that Pratt said had a profound impact on his faith.In a December 2025 essay for Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper, the actor said he found himself “back on my knees, pleading with God for a miracle” when Jack was in the NICU. “I promised that if Jack survived, I would devote my life to sharing God’s message. This time I meant it,” he wrote.Asked if he ever felt attacked over his religious beliefs, Pratt told PageSix in 2023, “That’s the way it is, nothing new, 2,000 years ago they hated him [Jesus], too.“‘If I was of this world, they would love me just like that, but as it is, I’ve chosen out of this world.’ That’s John 15:18 through 20,” he said.Pratt went on to marry Katherine Schwarzenegger, 36, whom he met in church.
