Iran granted permission for several Iraqi oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz following repeated requests from Baghdad through various channels.
Iraq lacks its own national tanker fleet, leaving it heavily dependent on foreign vessels to transport its oil exports through the waterway.
Baghdad has vowed to prevent Iraqi territory from being used to launch attacks against neighbouring countries, declaring such strikes have "no justification."
The Iraqi government has set a September 30 deadline for armed factions to hand over weapons, though some Iran-backed groups continue to resist.
