The uprooted tree toppled onto a neighbouring house with four people inside.
The vehicle was completely ablaze when firefighters arrived.
No one was reported inside the single-storey house during the blaze.
Fire crews from neighbouring suburbs bolstered efforts when next-door houses put at risk.
Emergency services responded to the blaze on Greenville St at around 7.20am.
