TMPD officer Peter Nonyane, known as “Gagash”, and attorney Charlotte Tibana are due in court on Monday to apply for bail after being accused of stealing and laundering about R1.75 million from deceased estates.

Tshwane Metropolitan Police Department (TMPD) officer Peter Nonyane, 36, known as “Gagash”, and his partner, attorney Charlotte Tibana, 33, will appear in the Polokwane Magistrates’ Court on August 24 for a bail application over alleged fraud, theft and money laundering involving about R1.75 million.

The two appeared before the Polokwane Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

They are facing charges of alleged fraud, theft and money laundering involving approximately R1.75 million linked to a deceased estate.

Nonyane was arrested on Friday, August 14, 2026, in Pretoria.
