Britain’s Prince Harry, Elton John and other claimants have been ordered to pay millions of pounds toward the Daily Mail publisher’s legal costs after losing privacy lawsuits in London. Judge Matthew Nicklin said an interim payment of £9.54 million is due by August 28, and that the costs should be paid on an indemnity basis. He also sharply criticized the way the claimants presented their case, saying the allegations rested on speculative and inferential foundations.
