The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), with the assistance of the command of a National Guard special forces unit, has arrested a Russian military intelligence agent in the Odesa region.

According to Ukrinform, the SBU said this in a statement.

The suspect is a National Guard officer who commanded a special operations group.

The investigation found that the officer had been passing Russian invaders classified information about his unit's combat operations both on the front line and behind enemy lines.

In particular, the officer "leaked" classified information from the National Guard's secure information system to the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, commonly known as the GRU. To do so, he provided Russian intelligence officers with the credentials needed to access his personal account on the agency's internal online platform.
