Writer Bella Druckman was initially skeptical of the “distinctly fluffy” $275 (for a medium) viral Lola blankets, but when she brought one home to see how it stacks up against others, she was impressed. “It’s silky and truly as soft as it looks,” she says, “but it doesn’t shed.” And whereas most comparable blankets are made entirely of polyester, Lola gets its signature “gelato-case-display-like folds” from spandex, which allows the blanket to “stretch when it cocoons you, making it feel even more like a hug.” She also tested the Lola at her childhood home over the holidays, where her siblings kept stealing it. Even her mom was impressed. “All other blankets have been ruined for me,” she told her daughter.
