Parents of schoolchildren abducted from Mussa community in Borno State have protested in Uba town, demanding the immediate rescue of their children nearly 100 days after they were taken from their school.
The protest was held on Thursday as families expressed concern over the continued captivity of the children, who were abducted on May 15 from Mussa, a community near the Sambisa Forest. StarNews reported that the parents were seeking stronger action from the Federal Government to secure the release of the victims.
The children were reportedly taken from their classrooms during the attack, with families still waiting for information about their whereabouts and condition. According to Reuters, about 45 children remained unaccounted for as of Thursday, citing Orbet Lawan Yakubu, who represented the traditional ruler of Mussa.
One of the parents, Chinda Buba, said families had not received information about the condition of the children since their abduction.
