Gwyneth Paltrow is trying to have the last laugh after reports surfaced that she’s hosting a dinner in honor of Sam Altman. On Monday, Matt Belloni at Puck News shared the apparent invitation for a “private, off-the-record al fresco dinner” at Paltrow’s Hamptons home to celebrate Altman. Belloni suggested that the meeting of the minds, which is scheduled for the end of this month, might have been orchestrated by Charles Porch, the former VP of global partnerships at Instagram who recently jumped ship to OpenAI. Puck’s Lauren Sherman later noted that Paltrow is actually a minor investor in OpenAI through a fund she established in 2021.
