Tyson Fury has expressed doubt over his long-awaited showdown with Anthony Joshua, accusing Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn of being “money-thirsty” and putting the fight at risk.

The all-British heavyweight clash was expected to take place in November after Fury and Joshua signed separate contracts with Saudi Arabian promoter Sela, backed by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority.

However, disagreements over the location of the fight have created fresh uncertainty over whether the bout will go ahead.

Joshua and Hearn have agreed for the fight to be staged in the United Kingdom, while Saudi organisers reportedly favour moving the event to the United States, with Madison Square Garden in New York understood to be the preferred venue.
